Financial Planning
In the past, financial planning has typically been done through a traditional AUM model. You invest money with an advisor, the advisor charges a fee, typically around 1%, to manage that money. However, as the ability to invest and trade has become more accessible to the masses, some folks prefer to manage their investments on their own. There is a lot more to your finances than just your investment portfolio. That’s why at Birds Eye we have evolved with the times. While managing investments via an AUM model is certainly an option, we have also implemented a One Time Financial Planning package for prospective clients.
As we mentioned above, there are so many different components that go into true financial planning. Budgets and Cash Flow Planning, Retirement Planning, College Planning, Tax Planning, Estate Planning, Real Estate Purchases and analysis of your investments even if you’re managing them yourself.
The One Time Financial Planning Package addresses those questions. We typically start with a free consultation over the phone. On that phone call we will discuss exactly what parts of the financial plan you are looking for direction on. We will then send all the required paperwork and disclosures along with a pricing estimate, which can range from $500-$2,000. The first meeting will be to do a more in-depth review of planning engagement. We will discuss your current finances, your goals for the future and concerns that you currently have with your situation. At the second meeting, we will present a full review and analysis of your plan. This may include investment analysis, retirement savings and/or distribution planning and college savings and/or distribution planning. It will also include a full printout of your finances from GDX360, our financial planning software that will present you with your Comfort Zone score (probability of success with the current information).
